What's in your mail?

Books, sport, politics, the price of fish. Anything goes here - more or less!

What's in your mail?

Postby Hughesy on Sun Nov 02, 2008 2:41 pm

Can you believe we don't seem to have one of these threads already? Unless I'm missing something. I've had a look though and can't find one.

Anyway, what was in your letterbox this morning. Nothing, obviously, it's a Sunday. Stupid question really. Hang on, I'll start again. What was in your mail on Saturday morning? Or whatever day you happen to read this. As long as it's not a Sunday, obviously. Or a public holiday.

Umm!

We did have this thread on the old SE. :(

Saturday, nothing. Sunday, nothing (although we do get a lot of Indian/Chinese/Pizza/restaurant flyers on a Sunday for some reason)

Monday, the credit card bill for the mere £39.00 for my PC security sub. Well, that's all I'm expecting, I haven't actually opened it yet. :?

A personal 'thank you' from an author for a review I wrote on their book. You don't get that very often. :D

Blimey! You'll have to write back and tell them if they're really gateful they should dedicate their next book to you. I don't think that's unreasonable at all :sus:

Ooh, is that out on DVD now? I had no idea. Fantastic. Must put that on my list of things to buy (although not from Woolworth's now, obviously. )

Nothing too exciting has dropped through my letter box recently. There have been lots of companies offering me huge reductions to buy their goodies. Things must be bad when they offer free p&p too

My first 'posted' Christmas Card from my friends Suzanne and David.

I received my first 'hand-delivered' Christmas Card last week at school from a year nine girl.

Also received a Christmas Card from the Royal mail, my first and only one so far but it went straight in my recycling box
Far more delighted though to receive my 'a-ha calendar' from the a-ha website which I didn't have to pay for this year because they used a photo I'd submitted that I'd taken at a concert at The Royal Albert Hall this year. :D :D :D
Bit miffed mine was used for February as that's the shortest month :P

I got a nice offer yesterday. Tesco DVD rental free for 90 days. That should take us until we move house (again). I can see lots of Doctor Who DVDs and a couple of chick-flicks for Mrs. Head coming through the door in the next 3 months.
"I don't like The Bill, honest."

Remember to put a prediction in RED!!!
