Typical! I finally ace my nemesis category (Science & Technology) and hardly anyone's around to see it! (only 7 players so far today, our joint-lowest turnout ever :( )

If that's your nemesis category then I've no hope! I've had some lucky victories lately.

Have you noticed how the question which includes an answer of "all of these" is inevitably correct?

Saves a bit of time on reading the question, doesn't it? Mind you, I think there was once one where 'all of these' wasn't the right answer. It must be the exception to the rule!

Sorry I missed your triumph over your nemesis category, Hughesy! Does this mean you're finally getting the hang of it?

Er, no! Just luck, I suspect. I'll be back to scoring 5 out of 10 the next time S&T comes round!

This always seems to happen...I have absolutely no lucky guesses in the first half of each month and I can't stop getting flukey in the second half! Interesting phenomenon :?

I just popped in to see how you were all doing and it's another S&T day!

Seems like you were right Hughesy. Nevermind. I saw 4 10's already and thought I'll just watch.

Aww, I wish you would come back Mrs M! I know you find the quiz frustrating but it's just not the same without you :(

Nonsense! 9 was a well above-average score for the day :poke: :D

Good Geography quiz over there today BTW. Really stretched the old grey matter!

That was a weird round. Each question requiring a number or including a number as part of the answer I got wrong by being one off! Spooky!

I have to thank an Ex. for knowing the answer to question 10. He had the irritating habit of quoting that person constantly. He had to go. 8)

Remind me, Mrs M, who was the sportsperson in question (10)? (Memory like a sieve, me.)

It was sports commentator Murray Walker. Oh yes I remember his quotes well.

'The lead car is unique, except for the one behind it which is identical.'

'With half the race gone, there is half the race still to go.'

'You might not think that's cricket, and it's not, it's motor racing.'

'Either the car is stationary, or it's on the move.'

Theose in particular are embeddd in my memory.

Ahh, bless poor old permanently befuddled Murray Walker

Good luck to anyone trying to compete with results's score and time in the quiz today by the way!
