I was just putting some flowers into a vase and knocked the vase over  but saved it from smashing without spilling a drop of water or smashing anything in the way to save the vase from smashing

Smashing! :D

Good save, Mrs M!

Today, I lost a Christmas present - a pedometer - while I was in my local park :(
Luckily I remembered that, while I was there, a kid on a bike told me I'd dropped something. As I looked around and didn't see anything, the kid shouted something so I assumed he was taking the piss, but he must have just been shouting something to his mate. Thanks kid! :D

Burnt my arm on the tumble dryer drum today. :(

I stop the dryer while the clothers are still hot then, if you get the stuff out and fold them/hang them on a hanger while they are still hot, they don't need to be ironed or only minimal ironing is required.

First time I've burnt my arm doing it though :?

I was looking at my emails today and I needed to check my diary for something, so I pushed myself backwards on my wheely chair to reach my diary, then pushed myself forwards in my chair so I wheeled back again, but I had my hand on the arm rest and managed to wheel at some speed against the computer desk, squashing my little finger between the chair and the desk...I was quite restrained and managed to just say "ouch" though!

I've recently been switching to energy-saving lightbulbs, which are supposed to use less energy and last six times longer than normal bulbs. That's the theory anyway. This didn't prove to be the case for the one I put in the lampshade by the telly a month or so ago - I knocked said lamp flying when leaning round the back of the TV to switch it on at the wall the other day - causing the bulb to smash and thus fail by some 5 years and 11 months to fulfil its 6-year remit!

I have loads of them but can't fit them under all of the lightshades! They're too long!

All the light fittings in this new house were fitted with them when we moved in and there was a lifetimes supply left for us too. I managed to murder 8 in the first week we moved in. Tried to fit them under the shades and they were not happy :whome:

Today at work I managed to drop a box containing 5 glass ampoules of a liquid drug...needless to say most of the ampoules smashed and the contents went all over the floor...they only contain 20mls each but it seemed to go everywhere

I just pictured a load of druggies slurping it all up with staws. I think I have a bit too much of a vivid imagination. :?

Well, we now know lightening can stike twice and so indeed can burning yourself on a naked light bulb. Did it again last night

I was painting a deep alcove and used my trusty lamp with no shade to see in the dark corners. Then forgot it was there. :(

In the past 7 days I have burnt my finger whilst cooking a burger and fallen over my own feet whilst playing football, causing grazed hand and knee and a big purple/green/blue/yellow bruise on said knee. Doh! (And that's not even mentioning all the agonising aches and pains and asthma-related complications resulting from the exercise my body isn't used to! :( )

This morning, when I woke up, I decided to do a backwards roll (yes, I should know better  ). I'm sure you can guess that it didn't end well. There was pain and then spots before my eyes and then panic that I may have broken my neck since I couldn't feel any pain.
Fortunately I can now feel pain in various places in my back and neck and the wooziness has stopped, so everything's fine!

Yes, I'm a moron!

"this morning when I woke up, I decided to do a backwards roll"

I started laughing as soon as I read that bit...I could see how this story would end up

Made me laugh lots though, sorry!

Whacked my thunb with a hammer today. :?

I was knocking in a nail. It hurt quite a bit and has left me with a very large blood blister at the side of my thumb nail. It looks like a ruby stuck to the side of my thumb. It could be the start of a new fashion trend.

Poor you, Mrs M!
My blood blister from about a month ago is still hanging around on my palm. They take forever to heal up.

This week I have broken a glass and a mug. Obviously it couldn't be any of the rubbish old ones which came with petrol or cereal tokens, but the ones which are part of a nice set :x I think I'm on for a record-breaking breakage month!
Today I managed to walk round a lamp shop whilst wearing a largish bag and not break anything. This is possibly my biggest achievement of the year so far!
