Flashforward.

Postby David Mitchell's Mom on Wed Oct 14, 2009 11:09 pm

The anticipation! Flashforward was hyped by Five for a few weeks so I didn't expect too much, but, I'm quite taken.

It's quite an interesting concept. Everyone in the world, at the same time, blacking out and having a 'vision' of where they'll be, what doing and with whom, on a date six months in the future (except for the number of people who died during the flashforward  and those who didn't see any 'premonition'. :sus:) and how having that vision might change their lives.

I just hope Flashforward actually has a conclusion and doesn't go on and on and on like Hero's and Lost so it gets so all over the place that you just stop caring what's going to happen and what it's all about. :?
I'm not David Mitchell's Mom. I'd just like to adopt him. Nooo not David Mitchell the comedian. Little David Mitchell from Grange Hill Series Three!

I've been watching it too, but haven't seen this weeks yet. Decent cast (apart from the one from Lost, but at least she's left Lost for this).

I said to my wife: "thank goodness this must have a conclussion when they hit the date" She said: "Maybe it was that date because that's when they get the next blackout"

I hope not. Heroes and Lost appear to have lost their way, but I'm happy to watch them all the same :yessir:

I've seen the first four episodes (not watched tonight's yet) and it's been steady if unspectacular so far. Joseph Fiennes is a bit of a boring lead man, but I've liked Jack Davenport ever since his This Life days so it's good to see him getting a plum role at least.

I could live without all that unneccessary CGI though, if I'm honest.

I seem to have lost interest now. Watched the first two and I'm half way through the third. Have another two full eps to wach after and I cannot be bothered. Like The Bill it has become a programme I watch when there is nothing else on. It will play on the TV while I'm doing stuff on the laptop. It's quite slow and not very exciting actually. Such a shame.

I know what you mean. I'm still hanging in there, but it's getting tough. This week's episode especially dragged on.

Must admit that watching three eps in a row it's gotten my attention back, or maybe its just Dominic Monaghan?

Missed an ep somewhere (cheers series link!) so I'll have to find it on Five on Demand to catch up.

We seem to be doing this series in shifts Heady, as I've just bailed out! I gave up after about ten minutes of last week's episode. All's not lost, though. I've always got the option of having a bit of a binge on the episodes I've missed on the series catch-up thing I've got on my BT Vision box.

I know it's daft but I really wanted Dominic Monaghan's character to be likeable in the mould of Charlie from Lost, rather than the charmless arsehole he plays in this. Ah well, that's showbiz I guess.
