The latest ITV offering was the fourth adaptation I'd see and the previews had me quite excited. Sadly, after recording the two episodes and watching them together yesterday ( thought it would be good to see it in one long run) I was as disapointed with the latest adaptation as the three I'd already seen. None have come anywhere near the eeriness of the book. I do believe Kate Bush's video was more creepy.
The book made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Considering I like a good thriller and horror read (John Saul being one of my favourite authors) I think Wuthering Heights was the creepiet book I've ever read.
Looks like I might as well read the book again.
