New Albums

I'm quite excited (musically....) at the moment! :D

Next week the Levellers' new album "Letters from the Underground" is out...I used to love them years ago, then went off them a bit, but the tracks I've heard so far from this album are sounding very good and they've had some excellent reviews for it already (oh and my tickets arrived the other day to see them and some bloke called Seth Lakeman ( ) next month :D )

Also, Keane have now announced the title and release date of their new album "Perfect Symmetry", out in October and you can download a song called Spiralling off their website...it sounds nothing like their previous stuff, very 80s and poppy, but I like it :D (although I hope the whole album isn't a complete move away from their older stuff)

My favourite album so far this year has been the Flight of the Conchords' eponymous release, which, despite being ostensibly a novelty/comedy album, never actually becomes boring or repetitive in the slightest; the songs are actually really good.

Other than that I've been a wee bit disappointed with the long players some of my favourite artists have been coming out with this year: Action Biker and Half Man Half Biscuit have both released albums that have contained a few great tracks but also an awful lot of below-par filler material. I expect better from both, frankly. Must try harder! :poke:
