Movie Ghosts

Do movie games go in here then?

I got the idea for this one whilst reading the Wikipedia entry on a particular film. I'll elaborate further when someone gets my opener correct

Here's how it works. I (and when it's your turn, you) will speak from the perspective of a movie character who dies onscreen - their ghost. From the details I provide, you identify whose ghost I am. Person who gets it right etc, etc.

You don't have to go into the characters whole life story or anything like that. A simple description of what caused their death and where they were when they died should be enough without making things too easy.

So then, here we go...

"I died on a bus on my way to Florida"
"We came to wreck everything and ruin your life.....God sent us"

*shrug* I dunno. We're a bit disorganised round here when it comes to forum rules and saying what goes where! I guess this is as good a place as any for movie games though :D

"I died on a bus on my way to Florida"

Hmm.... interesting. (rough translation: I haven't the foggiest!  )

Could it be Rizzo (Dustin Hoffman) from Midnight Cowboy?

It could be...and it is! :D

I was reading Wiki's page on Midnight Cowboy acouple of months back. In its 'References In Popular Culture' section, it listed a song that features the line "I died on a bus on my way to Florida", which refers to Ratso Rizzo. That's when I got the idea for this game. Not only has the information about the song and who performed it been deleted since then (I can't remember who it was now, and Google doesn't seem to want to help), but the entire 'References In Popular Culture' section has been removed.

The flaw with the line though, or at least, the flaw as far as this game is concerned, is that it doesn't tell us how Ratso died. Then again, I don't think the movie tells us that either. We only know he was really, really ill with something. That said, I was fairly confident one of you would know who it was by just the line alone.

Anyway, I pass the white bed sheet with the 2 eye holes cut out of it over to you, Mom

Wow! Thanks! The scene came into my head as soon as I read the line. So sad.

I always assumed Rizzo died of pneumonia. It was so ironic he had died on arrival at Florida. I think that's one of those film moments that stay in your head. Might go and see if I can find it for another thread.

I wonder what the song was like

Here's my ghost.

That isssssssss correct. Dr Malcolm Crow it was. I love that film although I cryed my eyes out at the end. I didn't see it coming, although, I did wonder why the Doc took the little lad on a train to the little girls house and suspected something was not as it semed.

Most ingenious is Mr Shyamalan 8)

Passing on the white sheet right now Sutti :D

Oh...er...here's the next ghost signing in (by the way, great idea for a game, GHG!):

Forgot to say the same in my excitement. Good Game. Good Game.

Is it Thelma and Louise I don't think it was her own car though, and, I've not actually seen the film so I could be wrong on both counts  :?

You've got the right film! :D It was Louise Sawyer. I'm fairly sure it was her Thunderbird convertible, but I could be wrong.

Excuse the rambling  I was thinking I maybe wrong because I haven't seen the film only two clips. The ending, when they drive off the cliff (made me think it might be Thelma with Louise), then, I thought I might be wrong because the other clip I saw was Thelma coming to Louise's rescue and I assumed they drove off in a stolen car. Might actually see that film in full one day

I'll be back

 Well if you're asking me?...I'd shift it. I only put it in here because I saw the other 2 movie games in here, and one of them was moved the other way about anyway - from here to the games room. I thought it was visa versa!

"Time slipped away from me and I fell to my death"

A (slightly cryptic) spook from a really well known flick!

EDIT: Sorry Mom. In my drunken state yesterday morning, I went ahead and took your go! Hope you don't mind!
