Movie Connections

Wasn't really sure whether to put this thread in the Film section or Current TV. But bearing in mind that it's a Current TV series (albeit about films) logic dictates that it must go here!

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, Movie Connections. It's good, this. Anyone see the one about Local Hero the other night? That's one of my favourite films so I was hooked from start to finish. Learnt a lot too; facts like Burt Lancaster getting $2m for his appearance, which accounted for about a third of the film's entire budget. Oh, and that motorbike that whizzes about throughout the film nearly running everyone over? It was John Gordon Sinclair on that!

Was it on the same lines as Comedy Connections?

I missed Movie Connections, I miss quite a lot of TV though like the Oscar's highlights twice  One could say I'm not a TV schedule observer :| and one would be correct
I'm not David Mitchell's Mom. I'd just like to adopt him. Nooo not David Mitchell the comedian. Little David Mitchell from Grange Hill Series Three!

Yeah it was very much on the same lines as Comedy Connections. I think they did a number of other British films in the series - Educating Rita and, erm, probably The Full Monty or something. (as you can probably guess, I didn't catch any of the other episodes!)
