Bring Back........

Postby David Mitchell's Mom on Fri Jan 30, 2009 12:33 am

I finally caught Bring Back Fame last night. I really enjoyed this one. :D

I was doing some theraputic ironing (was feeling a bit down :( ) and it really cheered me up. I loved that so many people went to the reunion. Remember Bring Back Dallas when only Christopher turned up? :(

It was sad to hear about Gene Anthony Ray, they seemed to be genuinely fond of him.

I think this was the best so far :D

I saw bits of this at Christmas. I enjoyed it, although I remember getting a bit wound up when JLC burst into that cinema to drag Doris Schwarz out halfway through the film she was watching. Why he couldn't have just waited a little while and let her see the end of the film before collaring her I don't know! So rude

But yeah, it was good. Sutti's frightened of Lydia Grant by the way!

That was sooooo stupid. Why didn't he wait for her to come out after the film had finished  He's a bit of a nutter though.

 I remember a documentary from a few years back about Fame where Lydia Grant was said to be harsh, scary and full of self importance considering she only had a small part in the original movie. I was surprised she didn't come across that way in Bring Back. She seemed quite nice and Doris seems to have a close relationship with her still. Ahhhhh

Don't believe everything you see. The truth is, Grant was holding Schwarz's pet guinea pig as hostage under pain of death if Doris didn't act all happy and chuffed to be reunited with her nemesis of an ex-dance teacher. She was also demanding a ransom be paid - in sweat!
