Bittorrent

I finally joined the download revolution a month or so ago, and it really is tremendous fun. All those great programmes you can get on there (while simultaneously buying said programmes on DVD as well, obviously!).

But the best thing about Bittorrent and The Pirate Bay for me is the fact that you can find oodles of programming there that's never been released on DVD and that you'd never be able to find otherwise. My tip of the day on the rare & unreleased front would be: Welcher & Welcher, a sitcom written by and starring Shaun Micallef set in a solicitor's office. It only ran to one series but it's dead funny and it's all readily available for download over there.

Actually, about two weeks after I started downloading stuff, the founders of The Pirate Bay got slung in jail! A mere coincidence? I think so!

Anyone else got any Bittorrent programme or film recommendations?

Didn't that happen to the founders of another such site after you took an interest in it? :sus:

Talking of GRASS.

I'm still using good old You Tube to watch progs in multi segments and to anounce I've made my first spotting of the Evergreen Frog (during Taggart in the Mid West TV region) and it made me soooo happy :D I'm glad they use this classic add year after year, Summer just wouldn't be the same without it 8)

I still don't why I get extra param  but it looks cute.
I'm not David Mitchell's Mom. I'd just like to adopt him. Nooo not David Mitchell the comedian. Little David Mitchell from Grange Hill Series Three!

I've never got on with BitTorrent, and there is added danger these days of getting sued and stuff. On the other hand, I prefer Rapidshare to find the odd American program, and for a small outlay you can usually find the latest simpsons etc. There was a thing I used called Graboid which I think relied on newsgroups in a kind of simplified way - from that I found series 2 of H2O - Just Add Water, which otherwise didn't seem to be anywhere.

Oh alright, it's a fair cop! They've put me on the witness protection programme  :afro:

I used to get that too. Can't remember how I overcame it now though! I suspect it'll have something to do with getting rid of the extra 'param' bits in the html coding when you paste it

I think they've got something like 70 million users now, so the chances of getting sued for downloading stuff must be miniscule at best. (famous last words? )
